Brent Ady is a Registered Provisional Psychologist (P7379) in Alberta, dedicated to providing effective therapy through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These therapies are evidence-based, meaning they are grounded in research and proven to be effective for a wide range of mental health concerns. Brent carefully tailors these approaches to meet the unique needs of each client, focusing on helping them achieve meaningful and positive change.

Brent’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University Idaho and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University. He completed his practicum at Calgary Counselling Centre and began his career at Alberta Counselling Centre, experiences that allowed him to gain hands-on experience with diverse clients, deepened his understanding of complex psychological issues, and allowed him to strengthen his ability to connect with clients.

Brent’s upbringing in Calgary, where his father was a firefighter, gave him a deep insight into the unique challenges faced by first responders and their families. His early work in construction and landscaping taught him the importance of hard work and resilience, qualities that now inform his compassionate approach to therapy. Brent is committed to creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their challenges and work towards better mental health.
